bye bye caffeine!

So my bartirc pyscgolist said for that her to sign off on my surgery i would have to promise her to quit caffeine cold turkey right then. so i did. I have been caffeine free for about a month now. suppose to be pop free to but i admit to having a couple non caffeinated ones a couple times a week. but i will stop that very soon too. I was suppose to hear back from them soon, to have a suregery date. but they have yet to get back to me. am actually losing my mind over this. i really want to plan, which means knowing when it will be!

meeting with the surgeon...a twist.

all along i knew there was 2 ways to do the weightloss surgery. Gastric bypass and the sleeve. i just assumed because i have such a huge amount of weight to lose that it would be the more dramatic gastric bypass. well when meeting with the surgeon he told me that becuase my BMI is so high, its more risky to do the gastric bypass suregery. instead i will be doing the sleeve. now if i lose enough weight on it, but am not happy with the amount the sleeve can be switched to the bypass. i am not happy with the idea of maybe having to do 2 surgery's, but if this is safer then this is the best way. i dont want to risk losing my life or having severe complications. who knows, maybe this will work and i wont need the 2nd one. thats my hope. anyways for those curious what the difference between the 2 surgeries are heres a grea website with easy to follow comprsions. http://www.gastricsleeve.us/gastric-sleeve-vs-gastric-bypass.html

and the answer is.....

YES. thats right i saw the woman who tells me wether or not it is safe for me to medically have the suregery. all my tests results came back great. except my sugars, they are borderline apparently...so i think they called me pre diabetic. but dont worry this lifestyle change will fix that pretty fast so i am not worried. she actually said i am an ideal canadiate. I am young (i guess 32 is young eh?) and in good shape health wise. pretty much all my issues related to the fact that i am stupidly obese. she doesnt forsee any issues or complications happening at all. *knock on wood*. as long as i can stay mentally stable i am good to go, probabaly in the fall. but more news that i actually havnt annouced on facebook yet is that they called and gave me an appoinment with the surgeon. and its next week!!!! july 10th! hes the guy who will give me the date of my surgery I believe. I am so excited!!! I hope its early fall...but even late fall would be ok..it isnt really that far away. and maybe by next summer i will be a whole lot more comfortable!
